You must contact the Douglas County Zoning Office and obtain a sanitary permit before  applying for a building permit

Inspection Services of Douglas County LLC  is  pleased to offer the following services, and to perform the following consistent with the provisions of Comm 20-25 of the Wisconsin UDC for all new site- built dwellings and installed manufactured dwellings within your Township.

 

  Permit Issuance:

        1.  Create and maintain a project file for each new home.

        2.  Purchase Wisconsin UDC Permit cards, Applications and Seals.

        3.  Collect Building Permit fee’s from applicants per cost proposal.

        4.  Forward any fee’s the Town may want to collect.

        5.  Issue appropriate permits.

        6.  Provide permit applicant with a copy of the contracted fee schedule along              with a copy of the duties of the inspection agency.

        7.  Conduct plan examinations per Comm 20.09.

        8.  Forward completed copies of the Wisconsin Uniform Building Permit Application, form SBD-5823, to the Department, including collected fees                  and assigned  seal number.  

Inspections:

         1.  Maintain a log of all inspections performed for each project, including:

             type of inspection, date of request, date of inspection and inspection results.

        2.  Requested inspections shall be completed by the end of the second full                  business day            

             following the day of the request or as agreed upon with the applicant.

        3.  Perform inspections per Comm 20.10.

        4.  Post inspection results on the job site.

        5.  Issue non-compliance orders to start the 30-day compliance period.

        6.  Forward a copy of the Final inspection report to the Department, including                 any post permit fees.

  Compliance by:

         1.  Appearing as a witness during legal proceedings.

        2.  Filing all non-compliance fees and files with the Register of Deeds for inclusion.

        3.  Making recommendations on appeals.
